This remodeling project takes us to Carmel, IN, where we had the pleasure of working with a homeowner who wanted to update their traditional Tudor style home exterior.

The homeowner was confronted with several challenges, including woodpecker damage to the siding, carpenter bees boring into the wood trim, and hail damage to the roof and gutters. Additionally, they desired a more modern look for their home while maintaining its timeless appeal.

Extensive Remodeling Services for a Huge Update

Our team delivered a comprehensive range of services to fulfill the homeowner’s vision:

Siding: We installed James Hardie primed board & batten siding, painted in the Sherwin Williams color Alabaster, creating a fresh and modern appearance.
Trim: To achieve a monochrome look, we opted for a slightly different trim design around the second-story windows, painted in the same Alabaster color as the siding. For the main level trim, we used the accent color Urbane Bronze (by Sherwin Williams), providing contrast while harmonizing with the soffit and fascia.
Soffit & Fascia: We replaced the soffit and fascia with durable James Hardie products and painted them in Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze, adding depth to the roofline and seamlessly blending with the dark roof and newly white exterior.
Roof: We replaced the hail-damaged roof with high-quality Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration Designer Shingles in the rich Black Sable color, enhancing the home’s overall aesthetic and providing much needed durability.
Gutters + Gutter Guards: Our team installed 6-inch aluminum gutters in black, complemented by GutterRX gutter guards for added protection and ease of maintenance.
Porch Overhang: The porch overhang was enhanced with cedar tongue & groove, stained in Sherwin Williams Banyan Brown, adding warmth and character.
Porch Columns: We replaced the old porch columns with 8×8 cedar posts, stained in Sherwin Williams Banyan Brown, providing a welcoming and timeless entrance.
Cedar Accents: The cedar accents were stained in Sherwin Williams Banyan Brown as well.
Deck Rebuild & Redesign with Privacy Wall: We transformed the deck by rebuilding and redesigning it with durable Trex Composite Decking in the lovely Saddle color. To enhance privacy and create an inviting atmosphere, we added a custom privacy wall with a door, stained in Sherwin Williams Banyan Brown.
Other Details: We painted the exterior doors & garage door in Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze and white washed the first story’s brick.
